I have been tagged by Sean Platt of Blogopolis BluePrint and WriterDad to spread a little TMI cheer throughout the land!
The rules are deceptively simple…
- Link to your original tagger and list these rules in your post.
- Share 7 facts about yourself in the post.
- Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names and links to their blogs.
- Let them know they’ve been tagged.
…but I know the truth. You’re attempting a digital Vulcan mind meld! What you don’t know is that my brain is wired to retain no information. Bwahahahahaha!
Er – I mean – on with the secrets!
I read somewhere that to succeed in business, you only need 1,000 fans. (It was probably Naomi of IttyBiz, or Havi of The Fluent Self, but I’m too lazy to look it up right now.)
The concept is that while lots of people may like you, fans are 100% dedicated to being a part of everything you do. Fans will tell everyone they know about how awesome you are. Fans don’t care what someone thinks about their love of whatever-it-is.
Fans get it.
In “How to Deal With Your In-Laws“, the in-laws described are of the everyday run-of-the-mill variety. You know, annoying but essentially sane.
So what do you do when you are dealing with this?
“So what would I do if my In Laws are cons and they con their children and children’s spouses as well?
Not that I would let anything as bad as what happened to my sister-in-law happen to me. I’ve been having this problem for a very long time now and I’ve never known how to deal with this.
I’ve tried to tell me husband to tell them something, he didn’t do anything. I’ve tried not letting them in my house, but then my husband wouldn’t let my mom and dad in the house. Which by the way my mom and dad aren’t perfect but love my husband very much. And now my in laws are in the habit of taking phone numbers so they can call and con them.
Any help would be great.” – SoLost
