I have entered my “Butterfly of Badassity”, as shown below, in the National Doodle Day Challenge and am hoping – finally – to win one of Curly’s contests!

I think I have a pretty good shot though, to be honest, I found Carley’s picture of motherhood hysterical.
If you have a WordPress account (you have to be logged in to vote) Everyone can now vote, woohoo! Please mosey on over and take a look at the uber-creative submissions. (Yes, I’m looking at you Dishy.) I would love it if you voted for the butterfly of badassity, but this is not a popularity contest – so vote for whichever doodle rocks your noodle!

Update: I am now losing to Caley’s “ThunderBoobs”. Wait – now winning…losing…winning.
Update: Update: Apparently Caley of Sublime Bedlam is deathly afraid….of butterflies. Yes, yes, I do feel horrible.

I am afraid of them, yes… But more afraid of real-life butterflies than pictures of butterflies. Your doodle, I must say, is great. You’ll win, you deserve it more than my thunderbolt boobs and stick people!

I just thought it was hysterically ironic. And I felt like I had tapped into the dark side to draw my doodle! Anyway, my picture is ‘prettier’, but yours made me laugh and definitely communicates more emotion.
Thanks for being so nice about it.

You two make it very difficult to choose!!! I think I have to abstain from the vote! Maybe I should just go with the stick people and thunderbolt boobs!

BUT Curly, if you vote for each of us, that simply cancels out those votes anyway. YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE. EVEN MY DAUGHTER HAS VOTED FOR ME. YES I AM PATHETIC. Georgia would have too if she knew how to type. Too bad she can’t just mouse over it and click — she’s great at that. Oh well.

Fear not beloved Dishy, all will be well. I give you my Honest Hayden GUARENTEE! Cross my heart.
