Oh Wow! Wow. This brought tears to my eyes. It took me back to a time when being in the “In” crowd mattered. and when I felt I was never good enough. Working in a high school for eight years reminded me of how cruel one person could be to another. Your blog reminds me of the good friend that is the voice of reason in a crazy world.

Actually I was a Montessori teacher for about 10 years. I was a job coach for special needs students at the high school (mostly emotionally disturbed ones). I also tutored English, Science and LOL Math & Algebra.
The program located jobs in the community and part of their school day was spent working with my supervision. It could be quite entertaining. As funding was scarce, the program dwindled and I ended up in a classroom most of the time. All day in a class with ED students was just “too much” for me. Lately, I have been working with my husband and trying to replace the 81 year old cranky woman managing the office, employees, books etc. 82 y.o. father in law still here too!!! I think they would both die if they had to “retire”.

Wow, my foster mom used to work with ED kids in elementary school and she would come home with bruises and bite marks on her arms. I always thought she was a saint for dealing with that everyday.
Does this make you Saint Connie?
